Noon. Perfect time to wander through the preserve on the outskirts of the area, not too dark. Meaning she wouldn't have to worry.

A small smile crossed over Mai's lips, taking to a tree and taking a higher route through it. Curiousity was quite evident to her, curious to see if there was anyone else about. Anyone worth her time anyway.

As if.

"Quiet." She muttered under her breath, percariously perched on a rather wobbly branch though she didn't seem to take much notice of it if at all. Carefully she'd allow her gaze to wander, making sure she was not being followed. Nothing.

At least there was nothing around yet, it probably wouldn't stay that way for long. Silence and peace never did.

((Edited because mun's an idiot and can't think at one in the morning.))

((Indeed it is!))

"Excellent. Do you know the making of rice paper?" His thumb gradually stills, as he looks down at her face with those burning red eyes.

Though for some reason they didn't phase her, at all. "Hm? Well, it's been awhile..."

Well, that's a good thing! "I'm sure you will pick it up again." Off they go to make rice paper for screens for awhile!

Who needst tell it right when you can be VAGUE?

Taking her back to the fair-sized dwelling, he unwraps some rice balls stuffed with umeboshi and katsuobushi. "Usually I work with more common ingredients, but then I rarely have company."

Yay vague.

"Mm? Well, I suppose I should feel some honor there then, right?" Seemed simple enough in her book, seemed being the keyword.

He notices.. kinda. "When should you not feel honor, Mai? It is one of the core virtues of our way of life. Be it sitting down to eat, in the midst of battle, or even fast asleep.. one should always feel honor."

Now if only he could actually banter!

"Oh? How did you take it, then?" Curious!

And don't think about that phrasing too much; Akuma sure didn't!

"I've found different versions of honor. In the one I was thinking it was more like something special. Not the everyday things. That I considered more as pride." And Mai made no sense, yay.

"Ah." Once more, Akuma sorta gets it! "To be honored, instead of simply having honor. At this point, would you settle for simply being onigiri'd?" He offers a small plate of rice balls to her.
