Noon. Perfect time to wander through the preserve on the outskirts of the area, not too dark. Meaning she wouldn't have to worry.

A small smile crossed over Mai's lips, taking to a tree and taking a higher route through it. Curiousity was quite evident to her, curious to see if there was anyone else about. Anyone worth her time anyway.

As if.

"Quiet." She muttered under her breath, percariously perched on a rather wobbly branch though she didn't seem to take much notice of it if at all. Carefully she'd allow her gaze to wander, making sure she was not being followed. Nothing.

At least there was nothing around yet, it probably wouldn't stay that way for long. Silence and peace never did.

((Edited because mun's an idiot and can't think at one in the morning.))

Oh crud, this is not good.

And off she goes through the trees, she's not losing this.

This one certainly could jump.. he'd best stick to coming after her on the ground. She's making leaps with ease he'd have to tap into his ki to rival, but he'd await an opportunity.

Another fun little thing of her's she'd picked up, the speed and ability to make the leaps easily.

Once figuring she was far enough she'd take to just perching, not moving from that branch.

Her leaping acuity was certainly tough to match, but speed at least he was managing to a certain extent. Still, she slowly gained... eventually, she just barely got out of his sight.

And that was where she stopped, moving into the top most part of the tree for that time being.

Nice, really.

He still pursued, though, and could tell exactly where she was. Halting in front of the tree she hid in, there was an amused look on his face.. and then he shook it a little.

She didn't seem to take notice of him at the edge of the tree, grinning slightly to herself. She felt safe in the top of the tree, though she wasn't, of course.

This time he shook the tree harder, making it start to sway; he was looking forward to her reaction.

"Ack!" She squealed, clinging onto the tree to hopefully keep her from falling out of it.

Keeping up the rhythmn, the tree began to sway more and more; once she got off-balance enough, he'd stop. He wasn't intending to whiplash her off the thing, of course!

"Nooo." She whined, keeping clung to the tree, it was hard but she was going to keep clung to it.

...Okay, that was adorable, but now it was getting dangerous. Letting go of the tree, he let it keep swaying a bit then punched it just hard enough to counteract the sway, sending little shivery tremors up the tree instead.

He had to be very careful guaging the amount of strength to use; too much, and the tree would have been felled, leaving only a jagged-splinter trunk where it had stood.

The tremor got a squeal from her, letting the tree go and slipping farther down the tree only to grab one of the branches on the way down. Though her grip slipped, causing her to fall without much help there.

Luckily, there was help on the ground below as she fell into his arms. He knew how to let his arms and knees give a little in order to cushion the shock; otherwise, it might have hurt as much as landing on the ground.

Of course, now he had a Shiranui in his arms, one that he was smiling his little grin at. "If we keep meeting like this, people may talk.."

Mai was quite glad that he had been there now, the ground would've... hurt, a lot. "Mm. You mean they won't already be talking?" She squirmed a bit to look up at him, grinning just lightly. "That tree trick is evil though."
